John has devoted his practice to issues involving children and families in
the areas of family law, juvenile law, adoption law, estate and trust law and
appeals. He has authored such articles as “The Role and Responsibility of the
Guardian ad Litem as an Advocate for Children,” “Legal Remedies for Interference
with Visitation Rights” and “Appealing Referee’s Orders to District Court.
Mr. Jerabek received his J.D. in 1994 form William Mitchell College of Law, a
B.S. in Government from St. John’s University in 1990 and is admitted to
practice in the State of Minnesota, the Federal District Court for the District
of Minnesota and before the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Jerabek has
represented Guardians ad Litem for abused and neglected children in juvenile
court proceedings and before the Minnesota Court of Appeals and Minnesota
Supreme Court.
He is an active member of the Collaborative Law Institute and the National
Association of Counsel for Children, and the Hennepin County, Minnesota and
American Bar Associations. John is a frequent lecturer for various continuing
legal, counseling and social work education programs.
