A Minnesota native, Heather Thorne originally worked for the firm from 1989 to 1993, at which time she moved to Michigan with her husband in support of his career. She returned to the firm in November 2005 after a nearly 13 year absence, as a Paralegal and ADR Client Liaison to Andrea K. Niemi.

Heather has a bachelor's degree in Costume Design from the University of Minnesota and a paralegal certificate from the Minnesota Paralegal Institute. She continues as a paralegal after so many years because she sees great value in helping people through what can be a very difficult time in their lives by making the legal process easier and less stressful. Heather enjoys her added responsibilities as ADR Client Liaison as they are an opportunity to further assist our clients through a non-adversarial process.

Heather spends her non-working hours enjoying time with her son and husband, in addition to playing oboe, card making, sewing and knitting.
